Craftiness is in the air
Ok, so now I am overloaded with projects and can't seem to focus on just one! I finished my eye pillow but didn't
end up taking any pictures! Ughh, I will make another soon. Right now I am working on a dress for my daughter who is 11 mo old. It is blue gingham and almost complete! I have gathered up some material for two other dresses as well. One is a brown corduroy and I am going to modify the pattern of the blue dress to make it a bit shorter and use as a jumper with pants for the fall. I also am going to try and make a pillow case style dress out of the owl material which is sooo cute!
I was bored with all the white in Babys room so decided to make a picture! It ended up being huge and I hope I can find a way to hang it so she wont pull it off. I wanted something natural looking with a lot of color so a tree came to mind. I used foam board for the back (not sure if it was a good idea since it curled inward from the paint) and scrapbook paper for the tree and leaves. I added some fancy stamps to fill in the blank spaces and give it a girly touch. The final part of my idea is to add an owl and a little hole on the trunk. Also, originally had an idea to hang little framed pictures from the branches but not sure if I will end up doing that. It may be a bit much.
Hmm, what is all this material and felt for! Check back soon to find out! :)

Patiently Waiting
Today my sewing machine should arrive! I have been wanting one forever and now it is almost here! I have no place to put it yet and no projects ready to go so I don't know why I am watching out the window for Mr UPS man to bring me my new toy. I guess it is the anticipation and eagerness to start all the projects I have been dreaming up the last few years. The projects I am planning to create are:
- Pretty Dress for Cj (I actually have the pattern already!)
- Fun Baby Shoes
- Lavender and Camomile Eye Pillow
- Sexy Apron for all the cooking I do (HA!)
- and my biggest project, a Play House for CJ
